We were able to orgainise a sponsored walk in November to raise funds and awareness.
Dartmoor forest, in the South West of England, is cold and bleak. So planning a 30 mile hike at the end of autumn was a challenge.
With 4 walkers and a ground crew we were able to meet the challenge. God blessed us with fine weather, and with our kits on our backs we set off as the sun came up.
The sunshine left us as evening arrived, with still 4 miles to walk, and no path to follow. We put tents up under a clear, star-studded sky and settled down for a night’s sleep.
Day two was overcast, but not cold as we expected so, although tired, we continued on over hill and valley.
What great weekend!
